Nick’s first concept album, about the "people that truly have the hard jobs in our world. Or no job at all. The outliers. The ones we all take for granted. The ones we will never know but if they were not there then our lives would not be the nearly the same.” While the story is fiction, Nick says he did draw upon some of his own experiences and sprinkled them throughout. As Nick put it, "The main thing this record did for me is reaffirm my strong belief that we are all here for something. Whether it be small or huge. Whether everyone knows your name or not. We all have a purpose. Find yours.”

Even though it’s the first concept album he’s written, it should by no means be his last. One thing I have always loved about Nick’s voice, is you can understand every word he sings, which lends itself well to a concept album. (I have to wonder if this is something he consciously works on in the studio when recording vocals, it’s that stark for a prog singer.) Without knowing before hand, I knew right away it had to be Jonas Reingold on Fretless Bass, and I was right. His sound is unmistakable.

A solid effort and very enjoyable album to listen to. 4 Stars.
