Looking for a fun, fast, and free way to promote your band, channel, podcast, or creative project to thousands of Prog Radio listeners? Be a guest on The Take 10 Hot Seat!
You can listen to previous episodes on demand here.
Who Can Be a Guest?
Artists, producers, labels, podcasters, social media personalities—anyone with a story to tell is welcome. If you think you’d be an interesting guest, email us with a bit about who you are and why you’d like to appear on the show. If it’s a good fit, we’ll reach out with next steps.
How It Works
Being a guest is incredibly simple—no prep required—and it takes only 20–30 minutes.
Once your recording time is confirmed, you’ll receive a link to join our virtual recording studio. At your scheduled time, click the link from a desktop, laptop, or mobile device to join your host, usually Prog Radio’s Kevin Carmony.
The studio includes both audio and video. Only the audio is used in the final broadcast; the video is just to help you and the host connect, so no need to worry about appearance.
The host will welcome you, chat briefly about any news you’d like to share (tour updates, new releases, etc.), and then begin the Hot Seat segment.
The Hot Seat
You’ll be asked 10 questions, and you’ll answer each with a song. Those songs will be added into the broadcast (they are not played during the recording to keep things moving).
For artists and bands, several questions are designed to highlight your own music.
Example questions:
-
“What is your favorite song to perform live?”
-
“What song that you've written are you most proud of?”
-
“Rolling Stones or The Beatles? Which song of theirs is your favorite?”
The host will have more than 10 questions ready, so you can skip any that don’t resonate.
After recording, Prog Radio will edit the show, insert the songs, and schedule it for broadcast.
