Geffen has described Blackfield’s sound as “very melodic...but it's not prog.”  For the most part, I agree.  It’s short 30-minute runtime is definitely not “prog.” 

The album is a bit manic, disturbingly dark at times (Garden of Sin, Over & Over) and super happy pop at others (Summer’s Gone, Under My Skin).  If you like Steve Wilson’s “To the Bone” sound, you may like some of the tracks on this album, otherwise, eh.  3.5 Stars.
