Rikard is known mostly as a guitarist (Beardfish, Big Big Train), and his guitar sound here is unmistakable, but surprisingly, I found his piano and keyboard work on this album some of the best parts. Another oddity for me was while listening to this album was I couldn't help thinking how much Rikard sounds like Ed Robertson from Barenaked Ladies, even the attitude in some of the songs has a BNL vibe. Regardless, Beardfish may be gone, but essentially lives on via Gungfly, and that's fine by me. 3.5 Yaks.
