I’m going to be honest and tell you I’ve never been the biggest fan of Tim’s music. I find that all his songs all very sleep and sound the same, with very few exceptions (i.e. Sing to Me). I think the only reason most people know or follow him is because of his work with Steven Wilson in No-Man.

I was hoping he may do something different with this new album, but no, just another 14 songs that sound like all his others. I know he has his fans, but he’s just not for me. His albums are always well recorded, but I just find his songs boring and uninteresting, and his voice can be monotoneish and uninteresting.

Now the good news…This is one of those albums that is good to put on when doing work, as it tends to fade into the background and won’t distract you too much. Not necessarily a good thing, but at least it’s “something” with his music.
